CITIA is Celebrating Its 10th Anniversary
CITIA is inviting Annecy locals to a very animated week to celebrate its 10th anniversary!
This year, CITIA, the centre for images in creative industries and organiser of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market, is celebrating its 10 years of existence.
For the occasion, CITIA will be offering Annecy locals an animated week with a world premiere and a selection of short films for a young audience.
World premiere of Sahara
CITIA and STUDIOCANAL, the film’s distributor, have joined forces to offer the Annecy public the world premiere of Sahara that follows the outlandish adventures of Ajar the snake and his scorpion buddy Pitt, who are tired of being the community’s scapegoats and decide to try their luck in the neighbouring oasis where the desert high society hang out. There, they find Eva, a beautiful snake who Ajar is crazy about. This is where the adventures start across the desert in pursuit of love and discovering themselves.
This premiere, which is set for theatre release on February 1st 2017, will take place at 11:00 am, Sunday 11th December at the PATHÉ ANNECY cinema. The film, directed by Pierre Coré, features the voices of French actors Omar Sy, Louane Emera, Franck Gastambide and Vincent Lacoste.
Tickets 8,10 € and 5 € for children
Screening for a young audience
This animated week will continue with two free screenings of 10 short animated films for kids from 5 years. Programme includes: Novembre, Marjolaine Perreten, Miel bleu, Constance Joliff, Daphné Durocher and Fanny Lhotellier and Château de sable, Quentin Deleau, Lucie Foncelle, Maxime Goudal, Julien Paris and Sylvain Robert.

These free screenings will take place at 3:30 pm, Wednesday 14th December at La Turbine and the MJC Novel at 5:30 pm.
