CITIA Afterwork – Service Compris
th November from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.">CITIA and Service Compris are joining forces to host an "afterwork" meeting taking place at the Papeteries – Image Factory, Tuesday, 29th November from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
At this meeting, CITIA is inviting attendees to discover the Service Compris association and the work it has been doing on the history of the Papeteries.
Since autumn 2014, this association has been working on a heritage project about the industrial site of the old paper mill (Les Papeteries de Cran-Gevrier). The documentary maker, Julie Pinget and producer, Jean-Baptiste Fribourg will be there to present their work.
While going from the paper to the digital industry is being celebrated at Les Papeteries, it is also appropriate to question what remains of its history.
What remains when a place disappears? What is preserved from a working life? What paths do the archives take us on? These three questions form the basis of the association’s work study and the creation of a newspaper and a special website.
Service Compris’ presentation will be followed by a cocktail reception.
Sign up is required to attend.
