Following its complete renovation during the summer of 2019, the Musée du film d’animation invites you to discover the permanent installation portraying the history of the moving image.
In addition, from 9th September to 16th February 2020, there is a temporary exhibition "The Language of Lines".
The Musée du film d’animation presents a substantial overview of the history of animated pictures from pre-cinema to the artistic forms of today, in a space open to the general pubic at the Conservatoire d’art et d’histoire d’Annecy.
The exhibition is based on animated film collections, brought together by the museums of Annecy.
Each year the exhibition is supplemented with works linked to the topic of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
The tour of the exhibition is offered as a compliment to the CITIA courses in using images.
