CIMFA 2013: results
">CIMFA 2013 "Concours international de composition/musique pour film d’animation" (international competition for animation film music composition) resulted in a tie this year and was awarded to composers Erwann Chandon and Julien Vega.
The final selection of compositions was played live during a screening-concert performance organised in partnership with the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the professional Master's degree course (MAAAV, Lyon 2 University), the Orchestre des pays de Savoie (OPS) and the Seynod Auditorium.
The CIMFA, created in 2011, is a one-of-a-kind competition for composing music and sounds for animated films. The CIMFA organisers have used the Annecy Festival platform to show off the importance of music for images.
