CITIA organises major events linked to the animation world to help promote animation to a wider audience, constantly question its future and encourage discussion between professionals.
Funding assistance for digital audiovisual animation creation was set up by the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council in 2006, with the support of CNC. It aims to encourage the production of projects in the area. CITIA was entrusted with the operational monitoring and implementation of the project.
CITIA launched the Forum Blanc concept in 2010 as an event for industry professionals and an arena for reflection on topics related to the development of transmedia projects.
The Musée du film d’animation presents a substantial overview of the history of animated pictures from pre-cinema to the artistic forms of today, in a space open to the general pubic at the Conservatoire d’art et d’histoire d’Annecy.
With promoting animation as its main aim, CITIA organises screening sessions of animated films by creating specially dedicated events or participating in national ones. These screenings are targeted to professionals working in moving images and creative industries as well as a broader less initiated public.
