Anima-J

  Announcing the Anima-J award winners!

For the Anima-J awards, the region’s secondary school students picked their favorite short film from a 2016 Annecy Festival short list.

Every year, as part of its work in spreading the images culture, CITIA elicits local teachers and their pupils to participate in the Anima-J program, exploring a slate of short films drawn from the most recent official Annecy festival selection.

A panel of teachers first concocts three programs of short films and then they are proposed to primary and secondary school pupils in Annecy and the Haute-Savoie département. Once the short films are screened, the students are asked to vote for their favorites.

For this year’s 2016 edition, the students awarded:

  • the Prix des Ecoles to Château de sable by Quentin Deleau, Lucie Foncelle, Maxime Goudal, Julien Paris and Sylvain Robert;
  • a joint Prix des Collèges, tied between Château de sable by Quentin Deleau, Lucie Foncelle, Maxime Goudal, Julien Paris and Sylvain Robert and The Short Story of a Fox and a Mouse by Camille Chaix, Hugo Jean, Juliette Jourdan, Marie Pillier and Kevin Roger.

Our warmest congratulations go out to the winners, and our special thanks to the students who played along with Anima-J, allowing them to learn more about moving images and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
